The Artists

Raul Ramos

Raul is an Oregon based illustrator and concept artist currently working in the video game industry.

He grew up in Monte Vista, Colorado, and attended Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in Denver, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration. He has studied various visual media, including both digital and traditional methods for painting and sculpture.

Raul has a huge passion for all aspects of art and art-making. However, his strong interests in biology, paleontology, and comparative anatomy have given him a great appreciation for paleoart, wildlife illustration, and creature design. He always tries to learn as much as he can from nature to accurately represent life from the real world and infuse his own fictitious creatures with a greater sense of believability.

Joanna Kobierska

Joanna has always been passionate about extinct animals. Their live appearance can only be imagined, and that mystery is their greatest allure. Joanna tries to reconstruct believable and lifelike images of extinct fauna using CG art techniques she learned while attending the course of Game and Virtual Space Design at the University of Silesia, where she has been studying since 2018.

Besides art, Joanna holds an undergraduate degree in Biotechnology. Science training she received there helped her navigate the more academic side of paleoart.

As a hobby, Joanna breeds ornamental chickens. She claims that observing their behavior inspired her art numerous times.

Pablo J Rivera

Pablo is a Visual Development artist based out of Glendale, CA. Currently he works at Paramount Animation! Pablo found his way into art via tracing dinosaur books as a kid. Working as a visual development artist for animation, he still finds that revisiting paleoart keeps him excited to keep improving, all to better paint the kind of imagery that got him first excited about art.
